Searching for birth sibling
Having no concrete information in regards to my birthsibling has made the search almost impossible. But a thought finally occurred to me which is why I am posting, hope it may help someone else. The newspaper from where I am originally from has always published birth announcements. On a hunch, I started making inquiry phone calls and have learned that the newspapers for the years involved for my search are available at the local Probate's office. Some of the papers are only available on microfilm while some are the very paper itself. Just may be able to find the actual birth announcement. It may not offer much but if it's there it will certainly be more than what I have now such as actual date of birth and gender. That could give some definite direction as in maybe being able to file for non-identifying information. Ever so slight but I hope that this may be helpful to someone on their own road to searching.

hope is a gift
After hours again searching, my butt turning to stone, just wanted to let you know I felt uplifted by your thoughtful posting. I too have very little concrete to go on: looking for a twin, but my birth certificate is a fraudulent piece of work. Think I was born actually in Nov of 1954, in St Paul (MN). Strong suspicions of being one of many victims of blackmarket baby sales. Loved your red-head - I am a titian myself. Good luck in all you seek - Patience is keeping yourself constructively occupied until what you are waiting for, happens.
