Dead end in NC Search

I am searching for bmom. It is so hard to get any info in this state. I have looked up birth records at the Health Dept but if there was a legal name change (such as an adoption) that birth record was pulled and sent to Raleigh, NC and sealed. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I have already called the hospital that the birth took place at and they were not much help. Thanks so much for any light you can shed on this.

I will be more than happy to help you out if you can provide me with whatever info you have gained so far (birthdate, non-id, adpt agency, etc).

I am a NC adoptee who successfully searched and found all members of my bfamily. I have met a b-uncle and am waiting on a response from a contact letter I sent to my bmom.
