Pennsylvania
WELCOME TO THE SEARCH AND REUNION MESSAGE BOARD!
If you know what adoption agency handled your adoption contact them for information from your adoption file that will help you with your search. If you were a private adoption or do not know the name of the adoption agency contact this office: Pennsylvania Department of Children, Youth and Families PO Box 2675, Health & Welfare Bldg, Room 131 Harrisburg, PA 17105-2675 (717) 705-2912 Fax: (717) 705-0364 World Wide Web: http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/ocyf/ocyfas.asp E-mail: cutz@state.pa.us INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR STATE: “Non-identifying information” is information from your adoption file about your birth parents. It generally includes ages, marital status, states of birth, education, religion, occupations and a physical description of your birth parents. It should also include the reason for relinquishment and may include information about your aunts, uncles and grandparents. It is called “non-identifying information” because it does not include any identifying information such as names, addresses or social security numbers. If you already have your non-identifying information but it is information given to your adoptive parents at the time of your adoption you should re-apply for the non-identifying information. Agencies are giving out much more comprehensive information now that they did in the past. “Identifying Information” about your birth parents can be released if they have given their consent to release this information. Contact: Division of Vital Records POB 1528 New Castle, PA 16103 Phone: 1-877-PAHEALTH to determine if your birth parents have signed a consent form. Neither the court or the adoption agency that handled the adoption is required to conduct or arrange a search. “Mutual Consent Registry”: Adoption Medical History Registry Office of Children, Youth and Families Bertolino Building, 4th Floor Harrisburg, PA 17105-2675 (717) 772-7011 Toll Free: (800) 227-0225 World Wide Web: http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/adoptpaki...edicalhist.asp E-mail: klollo@state.pa.us NON-PROFIT VOLUNTEER CONTACT IN YOUR STATE: Website: www.paadoptionreunionregistry.org Email: kdeluca@comcast.net Pennsylvania Registration Form: http://www.paadoptionreunionregistry...ARRRegForm.htm Colleen Buckner The Search Guru http://www.adoptionforums.com http://www.adoptionchat.com http://www.adoptionlists.com http://www.adoption.com http://www.adopting.org http://www.adoptionregistry.com |

I am female. I don't know my name before my adoption, but my adopted name is Kelly Icardi. I know some other non-identifying info through Catholic Charities like my birth parents were only about 18 and my birth mother was from a large family.
Do you think you know something? Please help if you can.... |

Hi. I don't think you are one of my siblings...My birthmom was born 10-09-1950, so she would have been 20 yrs old, and I know I have a sister, but she would have been born in 1977 or 78...I do have a brother older than her, but I am unsure of his birthday or year.
I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help. I would try posting all the info you know, like where you were adopted, maybe what nationality you are(if you know), just anything and everything. I think it makes people respond better if they know more. GOOD LUCK on your search! God bless, onepurpletwin. |

Hi there, I was just wondering if you know if you were maybe born actually in ontario canada??? You were born around the same time as a cousin i am looking for. Her parents were very young, dad was 18 and mother was 15, both came from large families. Mother has dark hair, and dark eyes, father has dark hair and blue eyes. Both parents are a little shorter and also had a son about 2 years later. Please let me know anything that you know of your birthparents.....you can also email me at jasperjade@hotmail.com

No. I was definately born in Los Angeles county...I have found my birth record on the internet, it actually had my birth name, not the name I have now. My birth name was Hara Lee Furgason. I am a twin, did already mention that?? My sister and I were both adopted by the same parents. Our two older half brothers and older sister were all split up. My twin and I are the youngest of all the children. We have been in contact with our birth mom from 1999 to 2000(a little less than a year). I don't think she was ready for us to jump back into her life...it seemed hard for her...So I wasn't able to ask her all the questions that I had. She was living in Florida, I was in California, so we never met in person. I hope you find who you are looking for. I know how it feels to wonder about yourself and your history. Again, GOOD LUCK!!
