Have BMom's DOB and Name!

After several years of searching & researching, a "mistake" was made, and info. returned to me with my bmom's DOB scribbed in the corner.

Search Angels, where do I go from here? I would be most grateful for your kind assistance!

Have you googled the name and date? Do you know whether your mother stayed in a 'home'? Have you searched the registries or the ancestry sites? Without some info it is hard to provide even the first steps to look.

Kind regards,
Dickons

Yes, I have searched the registries, no luck.

Adoption was private and to my knowledge, an unwed mother home was not involved.

I will spend more time on the ancestry sites. I do not have her married name, only her maiden name.

FWIW...
Research ALL sites offering searches and information. It is truly buyer beware and there are a lot of scamming companies out there.

I will vouch for Intelius. We use them for our employment background checks. They are legit and this type of search should not be expensive. They are not like other companies that charge $2,000. Those companies have no ethics.

I found out that the number on my "adopted" birth certificate was the same as the number in the vital records for my birth. You are one step ahead of me I had a year, but not birth date. The Mormon Church has just about every record there is and a friend, who had access, ordered the microfilm and found my original birth record. It took a long time, you should also contact the adoption agency for your non-id info as well. It finally came together for me, with the info I had gathered over the years, that I used gsadoptionregistry.com. Gary is a wonderful guy, I registered there, it's free, the angels search for you and in three days I had the connection.
My mom came up from Florida, after 62 years, yes she was still alive, having had me at 15. She spent a week, I was able to get my father's name, though he is deceased I found my family on his side. All in less than a month, but after many years of wondering and searching. My mom and stepdad returned to Florida and she had a massive stroke a few days later and is now in the hospital, after surgery, with prayers she will recover. Please say a prayer for her. I would help you as well, am very experienced in internet research, contact me at arlinenc@charter.net. God's Blessings.
