I wonder if your adoptive parents have adoption papers containing the name of your birth mother.
If not, what would happen if one of them sent a request to the original attorney for a copy of the adoption file, along with a check for a couple of hundred dollars as compensation for the time involved in digging up the file? On another subject, Florida is on the list of states with mutual consent registries.
