I was adopted in Sacramento. I got my non identifying info awhile ago and now I had my Dad get my original birth certficate by filling out a form to request it. He has not received it but a letter stating that there is a fee to get this information. It sounds like it might go thru. Has anybody done this before?? Thanks

Yes I have heard of this before. My OBC cost me $20.00. Best twenty dollars that I ever spent!

What kind of information did you get? Her real name and the birth father? I have been searching for so long and a lady helped me get the form for my Dad. I just can not believe it could be so easy. Thanks for replying.

The information I received was bmoms full name, age, where she was from, doctors name and hospital. The bfather side was blank, also my date of birth, weight, height, and time of birth. Awesome neat paper

I also requested my hospital records which included every detail of my birth, what I ate, ect., and the time I was released to the lawyer that was handling my adoption. Best part of it was finding my footprints along side her finger print What an awesome site!!

Anything is possible, you just sometimes have to find it

Does anyone know how I can find out if my husbands adpoption was open or closed? How do we get them open? In New Mexico
