This is a question for **'s out there that may have relinquished in the 60's. I am wondering if my husbands birth name could be false? Could a ** check in to a home, using a ficticious name, and use the same fake name on the birth certificate? Would that be possible for the father's name too? I have been reading on http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/...opt/4MHreg.html
which has been enlightening to see the stories posted, but it really is making me wonder if I'm chasing down the wrong leads! Thanks for any input you may have! |

Unfortunate.. but it does happen.. typically it did when Servicemembers were serving in Vietnam and wives were at play while dh's were overseas and found themselves pregnant.
It's happened to fellow adoptees I grew up with. They were on their search and turned up that birthmother falsified everything so that she could never be found. Yvonne
