Hello I am a birth Mom looking for a son born 2/24/1978 in Hinsdale Illinois, at Hinsdale Hospital. I see some people say dates may have been changed on the adoption birth certificate. That is disturbing to hear. I have searched for a very long time and never have heard a word. Please if you can help, I will be so greatful. Mary

I'm Looking For Any Information I Can Find On My Son. He Was Born On March 29 1983 In Louisiana.
Adopted To A Couple In Idaho Between 1984 And 1991. Last Seen With Margret Sharp In Montpelier, Idaho June 1983.

Lena ~ I was able to find a Margaret A. Sharp in Gibbonsville, Idaho, but she would be almost 100...birth date is 1914. Too old?

Maryseum ~ It is possible that the birthdate was changed, but if so, it shouldn't be by more than a couple days one way or the other.

Say the original bd was 9/17...I'd check from 9/15-9/20.

Thank you for providing a place where we, (adoptive children, and adoptive parents) can look. Most of us want to find you as evidenced by all the posts on all types of sites. Texas has a site called TxCare Registry. We also have ISSR which is a place where a lot of adoptees register. There are a lot of adoptive parents helping their children search for you. My oldest son found his birthmother, when she registered with the Agency where he was placed from. He had registered when he turned 21, but she had not. We had to wait until she called to ask if they had heard from her son. He was born 2-15-74 and we both (the birthmother and me the adoptive mother) lost him on 2-15-2005. He was precious to us both. My daughter Erin is now looking and has been for some time. Her DOB was 8/27/78 Fort Wth, Texas. Don't be afraid to register here. By the way agencies registries, cannot make a match of you both, if both don't register. They will NOT call the other person and tell them you have registered, even if they know where you are now Call the agency and ask to register. I think it only costs about $15.00. Adoptees are not angry at you. I can't say that is true of all, but I know that most just want to know who and where they came from. They are not there to pass judgement. Most are grateful that you gave them life and a chance. That doesn't mean that they want to live forever not knowing you. I hope you find your children. I wish more of you would post here, as well as other places. At the agencies when you both register, they send you both a letter saying you are matched, and then you can write to the agency, who will forward your letters to each other. When BOTH of you are ready to talk, or meet, they will let you send a letter with names, addresses, and phone numbers, where you can actually find each other. This is one way to do it slowly so you can decide how much contact you want. Please help the adoptees who are searching by posting in all sorts of places.

I have ben looking since 1964 with no luck. I do know that he asked for my health records, but I would love to see the little boy that I can away 40+ years ago. He is still in my heart.
