UPDATE: It can be done. I had registered in any and all registries I could find and guess what?! She looked too and we found each other just days ago. My search is over, but the reunion has just begun. A new chapter in both our lives. So wonderful being able to wake up this morning and wish her Happy Birthday! Today is her 26th birthday. I pray for all of you that are still searching, just know that miracles DO happen!

I am searching for my birth daughter. I knew nothing of the pregnancy nor adoption. I was never notified. Birth mother was told that I was killed in a car wreck by her family. It is highly likely that the adoptive parents were told the same. I found out last year, which is an amazing story for another time. I finally located and contacted the birth mother last month who confirmed everything. She was helpful at first, but is no longer responding to my emails or phone calls. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I gave up my son in Randolph, Mass. I stayed with a wonderful family who supported my decision but I lived in Ohio at the time. Jeffery is his adopted name but birth name was Lawrence Patrick Oblinger. Adopted parents names are Pat and Ed. I went through Adoption with Love agency that was advertised in our phone book. I just want to make sure that Jeff knows that there are people who love him and would love to meet him. I would like to see that he has grown up healthy and happy. Do not want to disrupt his life or upset his parents. They raised you and loved you and for that I will be forever grateful.Just want to know you are happy.

If you know her name & the hospital where you were born & your date of birth....you need to obtain a copy of your original birth certificate. When you're adopted an amended birth certificate is filled out. You need your original. It will contain information that you do not currently have on your birthmother. You might also try to obtain "all" of your medical records from the hospital where you were born. If you know the agency or whomever handled your adoption, they too will have records. There may be a release of identifying information letter in your file by your birthmother.

If you only have her maiden name, contact Dept of Vital Statistics in her state & search marriage records to find out her current last name.

If you know her current name...contact drivers license bureau and request driving record. It will give you a current or pretty current address.

Go to your local library or bookstore. Rent or buy a book on adoption search. They can tell you step by step what to do.... Lynn

I found my birthdaughter this past Friday. If you are having a difficult search, try the social networking sites. I found my daughter on Facebook. She called me almost instantly. The best news is that she can't wait to meet me. She is comming in 2 weeks and she can't wait to meet her new family.

I am searching for my birth mother born Mary Elizabeth Baldwin. Used names of Mary E Williams, Mary E Adkins, Fivecoats, and was enrolled in Vigo County Schools as Rosine or Rosaline Hall. Date of birth Jan 19, 1928/1929. Last known to be in Gary IN in 1957 at the home of Dorothy Trueblood but she could have also used that name. She disappeared in 1957. She is the mother of 2 boys from Maurice Williams, and 4 children from Clarence W. Adkins of Terre Haute, IN.
I was born Grace Belle Adkins on October 4, 1951 it was my mom and dad's 2 year wedding anniversary.
Of the four of us there are 2 siblings deceased.
