Books for 6-10 year old children
Hi ~
Peter Neumeyer, PhD and professor emeritus of English and comparative Literature in CA recommends the following books for children ages 6-10: 'The Princess and the Pea' by Hans Christian Andersen - a classic in elegance. 'Little Red Cap' by The Brothers Grimm - illustrated by Lisbet Zwerger - great for the imagination 'June 29, 1999' by David Wiesner - science fiction with clues to discover the answer. 'Good Wood Bear' by Bijou le Tord - a story about animals. 'Baseball Saved Us' by Ken mochizuki - a story about World War II remembered by an American boy of Japanese ancestry facing bigotry. Tell us about your favorite books for children. Nancy |
