search for parent/siblings

I was a left on a doorstep in Regina, Saskatchewan, May 1/1945. If you're my mother, father or a sibling they may have mentioned the incident of me toI would be grateful to hear from you. Gerald

Hey there,

There should be an adoption order that you can get ahold of with the govt. This will list your registered name. Since there aren't many people in SK, might be an easy search.

Cheers,

I'll try that again. Toombs, I do have the adoption orders from my adoptive parents but because I was a foundling there are no records of my birth mother. Thanks for your reply. Ger

Smile left on doorstep

Hi there,

It might be an idea to take your story to the media.
There was a case of this in Alberta in 1970, where a newborn was born outside of the hospital, brought to the hospital and left there, Global covered it -

Was it in the news when you were born?
Do you have the clippings from the newspaper.

I would strongly suggest taking it to the media, a heartfelt story.....you never know, it might bring someone out.

Shannon, Thanks for taking the time to reply. My birth was in 1945, I can't imagine why the local press would be interested in making a little story out of this. Some years back I put a search ad in Regina's Leader-Post classifieds for a couple of weeks. Maybe if I put the ad in for a year it might bring forth some one just by the sheer persistance.
I will think about how I might approach the media, at the moment I just can't imagine. Thanks again. Ger
