Kids are trully wonderful !!!

I wanted to share this for the waiters.....becasue EVERYTHING will change in such a beautiful way once your children are home, it's hard to know that now, but it will !!!

I've had a tough work week, and things are super tight right now, but okay, I just kinda get to worrying a lot.... then I get home last night and get some news that frustrates me to no end!!! ARGH!!!

I am fuming inside about it becasue I can't really "discuss" it with a four year old, she has no idea about such things, she just wants to go upstairs with me and change clothes. While we are changing, she wants to play in her room. "Mommy, I have an idea, lets' play in my room for 10 minutes, I'd really like you to play in my room with me, we can look at books, play hide and seek, play Barbies, you're good at Barbies...." She then takes my t-shirt I was going to put on and hides it, then gives me clues as it where it is....."Mommy, I like it when you play in my room with me...." "It's magic, look under my pillow, how'd it get there?"

Now she wants to play hide and seek, Mommy hides and she finally finds me, "Wow, that was really good, you picked the perfect hiding spot, Mommy!" The she hides and I pretend to not find her, "Now, I choose the perfect hiding place, we are good at this game, huh Mommy?"

She decides she wants to read The Emperors New Clothes but can't rememeber the name of the story, I figure out which sotry it is and she says, "Mommy, you know all about the stories, don't you!" We read, then finish up upstairs and head down, my daughter is SOOOOO happy, I am not *as* p-oed as I was, and I had the most perfect little playtime with my baby!
THAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL!!!

I just love how they can just slap your head around and make you realize what REALLY matters!! Kids are wonderful, being a Mommy is the BEST!!!!!

What a nice story!
I'm currently a 'waiter' but these kind of stories keep me going.

I hear you! I walk in the door and hear "mommy, mommy, I missed you" and most of my stress disappears. Glad she was able to cheer you up.

I had to jump over from the Guatemalan board to reply to this post.

Kids are the best, they make all of your stress disappear at the end of a stressful day. Just hearing the words...Mommy's home! at the end of the day makes everything worth while!

Hang in there...your children will be home and you will hear those words and you will realize that all the waiting was worth it!

Ahhhh...I love those heartwarming little moments. Makes everything worth while. I always think, I can go another 1000 miles on one of those little "melt your heart" moments.

Thanks for sharing.
