2 yr family day
i just realized that i never posted last month about our 2 yr Family Day.
kate & anna came home forever on 7/21/07. they have changed so much in two years.... it's an amazing process to watch, as so many of you know and understand. here's a pic of all of us after spending the day together in holland, michigan. they girls had a blast swimming in lake michigan for the first time. no smiles on their face as they were exhausted and fell asleep in the car shortly after this picture was taken. i was reading old posts from the summer of 2007 and was so touched at all the support the members of this board gave me during that stressful and anxious time before court. thank you so much, and i hope i can still support others who have not completed their journey.

here are the girls looking a little happier on 7/4/09 - the anniversary of their court date. it's kind of fun that there is always a parade and fireworks on this special day ;o)

They are growing up so much. Such lovely little girls. I am so glad that you did move forward to bring such cuties into your home. I know that you had to go through so much to get to this place!

Boy and Girl! 4/15/09 Now have 1 of 2 referrals. Still waiting on 1! 4/21/09 Received 2nd referral! 4/28/09 Accepted 2nd referral and waiting on 1st trip! 5/11/09 Child #2 is no longer available, back to waiting for another referral. 5/27/09 Still waiting for trip #1 for referral #1. Paperchasing to submit new dossier to a different region for referral #2. 6/15/09 Dossier done. Waiting for referral for #2. Still waiting on travel dates for #1. 6/17/09 Travel dates for #1! 6/25/09 Decided to complete adoption for #1 and return for #2 about 6 months after being home with #1. 6/27/09-7/4/09 Trip #1 completed
