Woo-hoo! Court done!
We are in Russia now and had court yesterday... it went really well... the prosecutor was quite easy on us and said she had no reason to oppose the adoption... the social worker said good things about our contact with our daughter-to-be, and the judge only took about a 3 minute break before returning with his decision!
The awesome news? He waived the 10-day waiting period!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Now we'll get to go home about a week earlier than expected with our beautiful little girl. We couldn't be happier. Apparently it's been about a year since a judge has waived it in this region.. our facilitator told us today that the folks in the Ministry of Education were shocked! LOL! We still have to stick around a few more days to get the birth certificate, adoption decree, and passport.. then we go back to Moscow to deal with the US Embassy stuff, which should take 6 or 7 days. First of all CONGRATS on your new family!! And second WOW! on the 10 days! I was SOOOOO relived about our 10 days being waived, but that was even when they WERE doing it a lot.

Court on 8/14--APPROVED~~~~
So happy we were approved in Court on Friday. We are in Rostov on Don . We received a partial waiver, so we are completing the paperwork in the next 10 days, so we can take our son on 8/25 to Moscow.
 Congratulations to you!
