I had my last Homestudy Meeting February 9th 2009
I got fingerprints for I-600A done on February 10th 2009
I am done with my dossier paperwork. The only thing I am waiting for is my I-600A approval in the mail and then I am done!
I handed in my dossier to my agency on June 17, 2009 but one thing had to be redone so it was officially complete on July 14, 2009. Let the waiting begin!

that is so fantastic!!!!!! hooray!

we stayed at the marriott grand and loved it. their beds are to die for, at least the one i slept in was.

you will feel like you are in the u.s. until you walk outside.

it's expensive tho - esp in the summer.

are you staying there for the ten days or coming home? if you are staying, DEFINITELY contact peace travel and get an apartment. SO much cheaper and lots of space. you'll save a ton on food too as you can just walk to a market and then fix food at the apartment. definitely suggest this for after you have custody too - it's nice for the kid(s) to have a separate bedroom and have room to run around and play.

congratulations!

congratulations!!!!!

We stayed at the Radisson in Moscow. The rooms were nice and they offered a crib for ds to sleep in. It wasn't to expensive except when there are events going on in Moscow. We had one night that was 4 times the amount we usually paid because some political event was going on. It was also within walking distance to major sites (at least if you are a walker they are). I think red square was about 6 miles from the hotel. And Arbat Street was only about 1 1/2-2 miles. There is also a very good restaurant about 20-30 feet down the road that was a boat right on Moskva River. And a mall with a grocery store on the bottom level two doors down in the opposite direction.

We did stay at the Belgrad one night, but I would not recommend there. It was clean, but very old rooms. But also alot cheaper then most other hotels.

We stayed at the Cosmo Though very nice and had a great buffet. It was far from everything. We got a great rate but due to a number of circumstances spent a greta deal of time in room. which was nice for bonding. The traffic to get from there to anything was horrendous. 1st visit stayed at the radission and that was great too! Very expensive but right next to a mall that had a supermarket. close to everything so might be worth your extra money.

We stayed at the Marriott Renaissance which is on the north side of the city in the 1980 Olympic village/stadium area. (If you like to walk, it's within a 40 minute walk to Red Square.) We went on points, but we will be running out of those on the next trip so I asked about the Adoption rate before we left.

The code for Marriott I believe is A23 for adoption. She told me you DO NOT need to have the kids with you to get the rate. But you will need a letter from your U.S. adoption agency, on their letter head, that you are in the process of adoption internationally from Russia and they will honor the rate. Right now, it drops the price about 1/2!
