questions about liquids and such on planes
I seriously haven't flown since 2000 so I am a little behind on the allowances and rules for liquids/lotions etc. I looked online and know now that it is 3oz each and they all have to fit into a one quart zip lock bag. My question is, what about your checked bags? Can you put larger products (I want a larger body lotion) in those or no? Also, it seems to only say that gel and aerosol deoderants have to be in the bag with liquids so can I bring a full size solid in my carry on or checked bag? Also because I am thinking about the last trip and wondering if I can fit my liquids and the baby's all in one bag? Can I bring 2 bags since there will be two of us or no? I guess I could buy the baby stuff in Russia and then just leave it there? I don't know! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

The only thing I am waiting for is my I-600A approval in the mail and then I am done! I handed in my dossier to my agency on June 17, 2009 but one thing had to be redone so it was officially complete on July 14, 2009. Let the waiting begin!

Yes, you can check your larger liquids, etc.
Coming home, I would think you would basically carry on only the items for baby. I figure if I'm coming home, I don't care what happens to my toiletries! |

I wouldn't do more baggage than needed. You will have your hands full w/just one bag, baby, paperwork, etc.
I agree w/the toiletries, ditch them if you don't need them.

On your last trip I would put the baby's things in your checkin luggage on the way there, and on the way home you can have two bags. Unless the baby is with you you can only have one bag. And the baby's has to be under 3oz also. There really is no need to waste the baby products if you don't have to.
Also, make sure it is all in its original containers. We had to through away something (can't remember what it was) because we bought a 3 oz cantainer to put it in instead of using the original that was to big.
