what kind of outfit for child to wear for readoption?

HI to the List,

It looks highly likely that we will have our readoption ceremony this summer. I am finished with the paperwork and just need the social worker visit.
I was wondering if my child could wear a sundress or should she wear something fancier(eg. party dress) for the occasion? We will probably go out to lunch afterwards somewhere nice.
Thanks in advance and have a good holiday weekend,
Amy K, NJ

Congratulations on Re-Adoption! Do you have a friend that can take Pictures and/or Video the day for you?
Does she have a preference what to wear? I would like a sundress or fancier would be fine.
Good Luck

My daughter and I didn't have to go to court when we readopted. Our attorney handled everything.

Sure, why not dress up and make it a special day for your family? It's a fun and happy occasion.

We don't have our date scheduled yet but when we do I'm even going to take my step daughter out to get a new outfit. I am so excited and want it to be special. I think a sun dress or a fancier one would be appropriate depending on what you want.

Thanks for your replies. Did you guys use a casual dress or a fancier one, aka bought at a dress shop? I just want to get some more specifics. Unfortunately I dont have a friend to video the day, Ill just bring a camera myself. To C-I know getting Joanna into a dress will certainly be a hassle!

Do what makes her happiest. It will be a day remembered for its significance, not her wardrobe. Congratulations.

Sound advice Bcelli. I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend! And remember the soldiers that made our country and this weekend possible!
