HI Starlight.

I am a lifetime member of WW and I really like it. I like the model it works on, you eat real food, you exercise and you get good tips by going to the meetings. I have been benched for a few months since because I have had a gastro problem for which I see a specialist. But once Im back on my feet I will return to my meetings.
I will pm you with my contact stuff. And yes, sometimes it feels like it doesnt come off so easy. At times you do hit plateaus. There was a period of a few months where I bounced around a bit weightwise. It was frustrating but finally I got past it. Also documenting what you ate each day helps so you know exactly how many points you ingest. Many folks who dont document have more problems with the weightloss.

I lost about 110 pounds on WW. I would swear by it. Unfortunately I gained most back. I think because I went so gong ho with doing everything perfect that when I got tired of it I totallt reverted. I lost the weight pretty quickly about a year. But I am recommitting once I am home and settled with the girls. Now I have two reasons to be healthier.

My DH and I have both done WW in the past. It worked quite well for us. Although we are not active members at this time, there are alot of healthy habits that I have been able to stick to. I hope to get back to it at some point but right now I think we are just overwhelmed with other things.

I am on WW now. I have been going since before Turkey Day and I am down 17 lbs...sounds like a lot, but I have at least 40 more to lose!!

I try to view it not as a "diet" but as a lifestyle change. I used to "fall off the wagon" and then say, oh well, I'm done! Now I just say, "OK, one bad day...I'll do better today!"

We have a weight loss support group on the General Adoptive board called AMOM's...you are all welcome to join us! GOOD LUCK!!!

Not on WW but supporting

I haven't tried WW but I just wanted to post...Keep it up. Falling off the wagon is alright and human but getting back on RIGHT AWAY is the key!

Presently I use the bodybugg and have been calorie counting and exercising at least 30 minutes a day. I have lost 15 pounds in 5 weeks. The bodybugg is featured on "The Biggest Loser" in case anyone has heard of the name before.

Anyways, just wanted to offer my support in getting healthier becuase think of it this way...it's not just for you but your children too!

Lisa

Thumbs up W.w.

I have recently lost 45lbs on WW. I did it through WW at work. Took me since last May. I did reach lifetime a month ago, and I'm struggling with going back to the old way of eating~ I was very stressed past two days, and I just ate everything in sight. I don't want to be the "big mama", so I'm back on track today. I agree this program works. If you focus on the principles- portion control, each more veg/fruits, drink the water, and just walk even 1/2 hour a day...

I have done WW a few times and I think it is an EXCELLENT program. What I have learned in the time I have done it is to never go off!! Even if you have a bad week, month, few month, just suck it up and go back because if you don't your weight will get out of control again. Also I learned not to limit myself too much. If I do then I end up going off at some point and eating all the stuff I never allowed myself to. That is the point on WW, that you can eat anything, but I think at times I tried to be too strict with that and learned my lesson. I would rather allow myself to eat, for example, french fries once in a while instead of telling myself I can't eat them at all because they are fried. Then since I can eat them once in a while I won't crave them and go crazy and eat them for 5 days in a row, ha. Also, always eat your daily points because eating too little can throw off your body too. I really think WW works if you follow it and know that you can eat anything, which may make it come off slower, but in the end that's better for your body and maintainance. If you have nay question feel free to message me. I still go to WW and can answer and questions.

I handed in my dossier to my agency on June 17, 2009 but one thing had to be redone so it was officially complete on July 14, 2009. Let the waiting begin!

Hi-popping over from the Guatemala boards. I started WW about the 17th of January and I went to my meeting this morning and I have lost 16.5 pounds. I have lost 50 pounds twice before and then gain it back and then some. My DD has been home for two years and I am turning 40 this year and I am ready to really stick with it. I have approached is differently this time but right now I need to work in my activity. I am not doing any as of yet.

This is my second time on WW and I love it. I lost six pounds in my first week. What I love about it is that you can have the foods you like and the point program works! I found that if I was strict with the points I would lose at least a pound or two a week. No other diets have worked for me. Partly because I want to be able to have foods I like.
