Any little girl ice hockey players?

Isabella has expressed interest in ice skating and we've been a few times, and she has improved every time and always wants to go again. I love the sport and especially hockey, and would love Bel to play (keeping in mind we live in MD - not exactly the frozen tundra) My good friend's husband is a 52 year old hockey player, and a kids coach and he is taking Bel skating tomorrow. Says she will be skating on her own by the end of the day. Hmmmmm.

We'll see how she does but wondered if anyone's daughter plays hockey - am I crazy? She is 3 years 2 months.

I have a boy and he does not skate yet, but when I was young, I knew a girl who played ice hockey and I thought it was great! I would go for it as long as she is really interested.

My friends daughter played for years, up until HS. I also went to college with a girl who played. Great sport, good for her!! I can only imagine how cute she looks in the gear!!

we will have alek playing in the fall, DH wanted to start this past fall, I wasnt ready yet, mainly because the ice team gets to be cray hours, at least around here.

Go Bella!!

My neice is 6 and started hockey this winter. I have a nephew who plays too.
My girlie loves to skate but hasn't shown any interest in hockey. She's more interested in the figure skaters. But I would totally put her in ice hockey if she wanted to.
We have a park district floor hockey program that my son has played in. There were always a few girls on that team too.

There are also mom leagues here too Its super popular, and my sister also is beginning to consider it herself as she always wanted to play as a kid and no girls played back then.

If there is a team in her area and she wants to do it, I say go for it. I have a boy who loves ballet, he has been doing it for years and plans to continue when he starts high school next year.
