With regards to what you will get to bring home with you I would expect nothing and hope for what ever you may leave with her. The best suggestion anyone gave me was to buy doubles of things you leave. That way you can have the same item if the orphanage has lost it. You can also trade a new item for a used one. I was fortunate to get back everything I had left for her but it was also obvious that she had never seen the items I left they were tucked away in a storage area. You might want to ask before you leave things. I did leave a camera and the pictures are priceless. Make sure you have some translation included on how to turn on the flash. I only got about half the pictures they took because they didn't turn on the flash.

How great you received the video! Make sure you take more when you see the girl. It'll be invaluable.

Many children leave Baby Homes with absolutely nothing as common policy there is to share everything. But it does differ.

There was a very important advice regarding translators - make sure you prepare a list of questions and hand them to the translator ahead of time. Even though they are usually very good, depending on their experience some terms or words might be unknown to them. Allow them some time to look through the questions and prepare themselves. In return you will get better and more accurate results.

Best of luck to you!
