Son starting to understand

I think our son is starting to understand how our family was formed. He has been asking a lot of questions lately, and I have answered them at his level.

Anyway, Sunday at church his class was talking about how Jesus was born in a manger. The teacher asked them all, "Where were you born?" All the other kids said "hospita," but Jaxon said, "Russia!" The teacher said she told him he was right. She said it choked her up because he was so proud and seemed so at peace with it all.

I know he may have "issues" with it later on, but I think our open approach is working great for us.

Our oldest is the same age as your son and I have noticed more of an understanding or grasp of it all recently as well. Definitely alot more questions too, comparing our pregnant friends to him, etc...
It is neat watching their little minds at work!

I'm happy he seems to be getting it a little at a time. Honesty is of course the best policy. We did have to teach our kids that when people ask "where are you from?" (like when we are on vacation) - they aren't supposed to answer RUSSIA. A few glitches in the English language there!
