Antonina's baptizm
Antonina celebrated her Baptizm today and what a great day we had. The day was made extra special because it's our 3 year anniversary (30th November court and 8th December arrival home).
I was smiling like a cheshire cat all day!! Family and a few friends attended and we had a lovely meal after the baptizm service. Can you believe we didn't get any photo's of us together (that's a first!!!). I wrote a poem that I read during the service and thought I'd post here...... Antonina and I One day I got a feeling, I didn’t know what to do I stood in the hot Mallorcan heat and had strange thoughts of you! It was one August Saturday, the feeling was so strong, little did I know back then our hearts would beat as one! I did all the necessary paperwork, I prayed 10 times a day That finally when the phone call came, I felt truly on my way! I was so very nervous and tingly through and through My family were all so excited , I wished that they could come too! Our Lord was in my prayers, he never left my side And when I needed him the most, his light would shine so bright He was always there to help me with the strength only he can give That was to guide me through those days, those days I had to live. The day we finally met, you were such a precious little sole Truly one of God’s creations that I was blessed to hold This part of the journey now complete , we set upon our way Homeward bound, you and I, travelling night and day! Almost three years to the day, and one thing Is for sure My love will never faultier, it will grow and grow some more This poem would not be complete without mentioning the day Antonina first expressed her love for me by saying ... (Antonina says ‘ I wuv you’) We’re gathered here today one family true and true I thank you dearly from the heart for everything we’ve been through, to make my wish come true!
