OT - Mini Vans
A week from today, will be our first official day back in the states. Amongst everything else, we are in need of 2 vehicles. DH is still deciding on what commuter car to drive. I've decided on another mini van. We had and would get another "C" T&C, but due to recent headlines, I'm looking at 2 others. Hope you can read my abbreviations as I'm not sure I can list the mfg and model. The "T" S and the "H" O.
Feel free to PM me with this info or post here, if specs can be listed. Do you have either model? What pros and cons do you have with the model? Why did you decide this model / year?

I think you can list the models! I have the Sienna and we have loved it. We have had it four years now. Of course my reasons may not be important to you. The first one was the cargo space in back, at the time only the Odyssy and Sienna had that big cargo space and it was big enough for dd's wheelchair. (we took it with us to look at minivans) Two other things. I liked that you could put down only part of the third seat (the third row folding flat was a plus) at the time the odyssy was either the whole thing down or none, but the Sienna offered a 2/3 split, so you could still have one or two seats up. The final thing was that you could get it in 8 passanger. This was important to us because I always seem to have extra kis in my car and because at the time I had three kids and for travel it worked great to put all three kids in the middle row and folding down the entire back row gave us lots of room for luggage.
Of course this was four years ago. Anyway, we have loved it and it has not has much trouble. I thought it was funny a few months ago when I read a list of cars that were most made in Amerca (they went by where the parts are made and where it's put together by percentage) I was surprised that it was the top one in the minivan catagory since it's considered an import! LOL Anyway, those were my reasons. Of course now they have even more fun little things that they didnt' have then, like more storage compartments and stuff. We do love having the doors on both sides! I still use the minivan whenever I can, though I had to go to a big van for my son's wheelchair. I have trouble fitting all four kids and the big chair in the minivan, though I can do it if I have to by folding down two of the back seats and using a folding ramp, but it's not secure.

We have a 2005 Chrylser Town and Country Touring Edition we bought new which I LOVE. We also bought a used 2005 Honda Odyssey this summer...which I like. (Yes we have two minivans...
)Both are fine...but if I ever get to buy another new one...it will probably be the Chrysler. Good luck.

Also have a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Touring that I wouldn't trade for a Mercedes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my van. The electric doors and stow and go seats make that vehicle so versatile, it's hard to imagine anything else as useful. And it is so comfortable. It really fits me well and there is loads of passenger space, so everyone else is comfy also. My mother - who is disabled - loves it too and it's the easiest vehicle in the family - or among her friends - for her to get in and out of. And the leather seats are as tough as the kids. But by far, the best feature is that I have had absolutely no mechanical problems. I love a reliabe vehicle. And the fact that it's American-made is an issue for me. I believe in keeping Americans working - especially now. So if I can get what I need and want and do that at the same time, then it's a win-win for everyone. Gee, can you tell I LOVE my van.

Just switched over from the Chrysler to the Honda. I love the Honda in so many more ways than the Chrysler. Mostly manueverability, handling, price/resell.
Only two things I think the Chrysler did better... opening the doors with the remote and the stow and go seating.
