And now for pictures
As many of you read - I did already post my musings about three years as a family. Today is the actual day and I would like to share pictures. Each year we make signs (mostly because I'm bad at labeling pictures and at least I'll remember this way!)...and below is a comparison between our 6 month anniversary (May 2006) and today - November 24, 2008. On Thanksgiving day (11.24.05), DH, DS1 and I sat in a courtroom in Kemerovo and had a LONG 2 hour court to be named parents of our kiddos. Tonight at dinner we toasted to "the last three years and how far we've come and the next three years and how hard we'll all work to come SO much farther"...

Congratulations on being a family Kretz! What an exciting time to have an anniversary and you have much to be Thankful for. I also am sure you will all come much further in the next three. I wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving.

Adopted one boy & one girl from Krasnoyarsk May - October, 2007 - Researching adoption/agencies October 17 - Signed w/ Placing Agency...dossier paperchase begins October 19 - Signed w/ Homestudy Agency October 22 - Filed I-600A November 26 - Picked up approved homestudy December 28 - Apostilled Dossier & Homestudy arrive in Russia January 4, 2008 - Learn dossier being registered in Krasnoyarsk January 5-January 29 - Nitpicking of docs in Kras; 5 rounds later, we're finally good-to-go January 16 - Received I-600A/I-797C approval! February 5 - Dossiers finally registered in Kras April 23 - Best day ever! Received referral for our little boy May 15 - Received our referral for our little girl! Yippee!! May 20-25 - TRIP 1 July 29th Court Date Rescheduled - orphanage quarantine August 5, 2008 - New Court Date August 6 - Adoptions Approved August 14 - Depart JFK Trip 3 August 18 - Pick up Babies August 23 - Home Forever

I'm getting all sentimental because I've been away from the boards for so long.
I remember when you brought the kids home. I was heavy in my adoption process. It's hard to believe it's already been that long! Congratulations!!

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007
