OT: Christmas Ornaments

A few years ago someone from this site directed me to a great place to buy Christmas ornaments and I thought I'd pass it on. They have ornaments that say Merry Christmas in Russian and an ornament of the Russian flag. New this year they have an ornament of St. Basil's Cathedral and a Matroska doll. I've ordered from them twice now and have not had any problems.

It's Bronner's Christmas Lights, Christmas Ornaments, Personalized Ornaments, Christmas Decorations, Ornaments -- World's Largest Christmas Store – Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland.

A little bit OT from the original OT ...

I've not shopped at this particular store, but I like to get something Russian - from Russia - as Christmas gifts each year for teachers. In the past, I've gotten lacquer boxes and the matroyshka dolls with 6-7 ornaments inside, birch boxes, etc. When I started shopping this year - about 3 weeks ago - I was amazed at how capitalism has flourished in Russia! Before, I could get all the things I listed for less than $10 each, now you can hardly touch a nice size birch box for less than $30 or a similarly sized lacquer box for less than $60. I paid $24 for a nice Palehk lacquer box 2 years ago for myself. After comparing prices and qualities, we've been able to estimate it's worth somewhere between $250-$300 on the open market. Russian folk crafts could be the answer to our current economic crisis! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, folks.
