Hi everyone! I have been lurking for awhile and am so thankful to have this board to learn from. I feel like you all have educated me so much. We are adopting from Russia and our homestudy is in progress. We just found out today that we are going to be going to either Yuroslav or Vladimir regions. Have any of you adopted from either of these regions and if so, what was your experience? Thanks so much! God Bless!

I have a beautiful daughter from Vladimir, but my experiences are out of date by about 8 years! However it's not far from Moscow at all so you don't have to fly.

We had friends of ours that adopted from vladimir in Feb. 08 and the 10 days was not waived. Just thought I would let you know. I'm not sure if they are waiving at all anymore.

Thanks so much for your thoughts, I'm simply excited to be assigned a region...can't imagine what it'll be like to actually get a referral. We have 3 kiddos here at home and I'm sooooo nervous about leaving them for 3 weeks if we get stuck with the 10 day wait. I appreciate your responses! Thanks ladies!

Ours was waived, but again that was 8 years ago when most of the time they were waived everywhere, now they are rarely waived.
