Hi everyone, I am new here and would love to hear from anyone who has recently adopted from Krasnoyarsk. We just completed our dossier for a girl up to 24 months old. We have already been told that girls are very scarce and we might have to wait a long time. Would love to hear from others.

We adopted a boy from Kras in 2006 and brought him home when he was 18 months old. He was 14 months at referral and was considered "old" for adoption since many children there were referred out at a much younger age (around 9 months). I am not really sure about the wait times anymore... there are many orphanages in and around Kras, it just depends how many your agency works with. Kras is a very nice region. Jessie76 just got back from adopting a boy and a girl and I do not think she waited too long for the referrals. Maybe send her a PM and she could give you more info on that. Hello...just came home from Kras last week with 2 amazing kiddos. Wonderful experience. Girl at 8mos. referral...boy at 17 mos. referral. Total process 10 mos. from application to agency to coming home. They are napping now so I can't talk long, but please feel free to pm me and I'll give you my personal email address to give you loads of info about the city, the court, etc.
