Hi! Does anyone have info on Faithful Adoptions?
Hello,

My husband and I will be doing an adoption from Russia, but we are torn between 2 agencies and would love to receive any info on Faithful Adoptions (Also known as Faithful Charities).

I would greatly appreciate any info that you could PM me.

i have never heard of them. just be CERTAIN they are currently accredited by Russia.

Been around a while and also never heard of them. I am guessing that they "umbrella" under another established and accredited agency. (The other agency would be the one actually representing you in Russia. ) I am personally cautious about using any agency that does not stand on it's own accreditation. If either agency "goes under", then both agencies are affected... I worked with an umbrella relationship agency for adoption #1, but chose to work with a fully accredited agency for #2. There were fewer headaches!

May - October, 2007 - Researching adoption/agencies
October 17 - Signed w/ Placing Agency...dossier paperchase begins
October 19 - Signed w/ Homestudy Agency
October 22 - Filed I-600A
November 26 - Picked up approved homestudy
December 28 - Apostilled Dossier & Homestudy arrive in Russia
January 4, 2008 - Learn dossier being registered in Krasnoyarsk
January 5-January 29 - Nitpicking of docs in Kras; 5 rounds later, we're finally good-to-go
January 16 - Received I-600A/I-797C approval!
February 5 - Dossiers finally registered in Kras
April 23 - Best day ever! Received referral for our little boy
May 15 - Received our referral for our little girl! Yippee!!
May 20-25 - TRIP 1
July 29th Court Date Rescheduled - orphanage quarantine
August 5, 2008 - New Court Date
August 6 - Adoptions Approved
August 14 - Depart JFK Trip 3
August 18 - Pick up Babies
August 23 - Home Forever

There is a site called adoptionagencyratings that welcomes comments good and bad. Also, FRUA has a section for agency discussion

Last Roundup Starts July 26th
