Hey everyone! We have been licking our wounds to some degree over our latest adoption attempts, so I have been a lurker and not much of a team player like before (obsessed???LOL) I just haven't had the heart to discuss it. I have to give all the credit in the world to VOTEMOM who despite horrendous circumstances always held out such faith & well, look how her story turned out!!

Bringing Summer home 2 yrs ago this past May, has simply been the delight of our lives. Knowing serious issues could arise as she gets older will always be a concern, but we virtually sailed through the whole medicals/ transition/ bonding thing. In all fairness to newcomers, I dont want to act like it's always that way, you have to consider that our little girl was abandoned at 9 months not birth, and had probably learned to attach at that point.Who knows? I dont want to be flamed so please bear with me. At any rate the whole mess with you know who, our agency going bankrupt & the many families who lost not just their children but their savings was hard to overcome. Although I wish I could shout the names from the mountain tops suffice to say there have been some families who sued & have since at least gotten partial refunds. YAY! Albeit the agencies not having to publically admit wrongdoing. BOO!

well the saga continues now with us having to convince the judge that we indeed DO want very much to adopt her sister/s (now plural!) However at this point no American adoptions have happened since ours in 2006 in that region. Mainly because of **** ARGH!! But we are in it for the long haul. I have a renewed vision & determination & I keep reminding myself that Summer's adoption took 2.5 yrs so it aint gonna happen fast!
We were sent the most precious pix of her sister & the orphanage & were all ready to go visit & meet her (no strings attached) when they decided against it. Sigh* so it is sit & wait and hope that the right entities come together to at last agree to let us adopt her/ them. While we have been waiting the older sister aged out (16) further complicating the matter. We were told there is a law that says you may still adopt an older sibling if you are also adopting a younger one so we grab on to that. They both have so many years ahead of them and we will be here no matter what. So I guess Im back! Ü

here is a recent pix of Ms Summer. nothing fancy compared to what I usually do, but her beaming self none the less!She is 5 starts kindegarten in the fall (tested off the charts!)She loves to come to the studio and "work" she greets clients and gets them drinks and "babysits" the siblings in the video room while I shoot. She loves to text message her big brothers (with a limited vocabulary!) and is an absolute Daddy's girl.

How I've missed you! I'm glad to hear an update, although sad for you that it's such a road to hoe. In the end the will of God will be done! I wish you continued luck and peace!
Summer is still a little cutie and I can NOT believe she is starting K this fall. Holy cow - where does the time go?

welcome back you have been missed. I am trying to talk my Dh in to a trip your way for family pictures. He keeps saying arent there studio's closer I tell him none where Rainy is. We will see I am wearing him down,
