Take LOTS of videos
To all who are waiting to travel - take more and more and more videos when you travel. We brought home our little one 10/22/05. She finishes kindergarten Tuesday. We thought it would be fun to watch videos throughout the weekend so she could enjoy the transition. We took almost 1,000 photos during our two trips. We took a good bit of video but not enough!
Looking back I can say we wouldn't forget to take pictures but did forget to pull out the video camera. I so wish we had more footage. So my recommendation to those preparing to travel - take as much video footage as you can! Best wishes to the waiters. The time now goes SOOO slow. Once your little one is here the time goes too fast!

very, very good advice. i so wish i had taken more.... of my girls' hometown especially. i do have tons of pictures, but the video is so great to have.

Good advice,
We did things like video while we were driving around town (like from the hotel to the orphanage), walking around the circumference of the orphanage, video while walking around shopping areas (Arbat, GUM, Red Square, etc.)
