Last Post Placement Report
Pierce's last post placement report is being mailed today - what a milestone! Just wanted to share the happy news!
Ironically, we've got our hat back in the ring for a second adoption so, God willing, we'll be doing this all over again. (We're waiting for a daughter this time, so I anticipate a lengthy wait.) Best wishes to all - newbies and old timers alike!

Congrats!!! We had our last one last summer and it felt great!! The strange thing was that when our placement agency sent us the letter saying that we were officially complete with all paperwork and they were closing our file I felt very sad, hmmmmm?

Congratulations!! We had our last visit for our post placement two week's ago for our second child's adoption...our social worker has been our lives for over 5 years with annual visits, but I have to admit, it was really nice to know that was the last time we "have" to see her.

Congratulations on the completion of the final PP report!!!
How exciting!!And, a double congrats for the beginning of a new journey...to your daughter!! How exciting!! Don't be too sure about a long wait...I think it all depends on the agency you choose (the larger ones seem to have much longer waits because there are more families waiting). Our dossier was registered in February, and in May we got a referral for a super healthy eight month old girl! Best of luck for a smooth process.

Adopted one boy & one girl from Krasnoyarsk May - October, 2007 - Researching adoption/agencies October 17 - Signed w/ Placing Agency...dossier paperchase begins October 19 - Signed w/ Homestudy Agency October 22 - Filed I-600A November 26 - Picked up approved homestudy December 28 - Apostilled Dossier & Homestudy arrive in Russia January 4, 2008 - Learn dossier being registered in Krasnoyarsk January 5-January 29 - Nitpicking of docs in Kras; 5 rounds later, we're finally good-to-go January 16 - Received I-600A/I-797C approval! February 5 - Dossiers finally registered in Kras April 23 - Best day ever! Received referral for our little boy May 15 - Received our referral for our little girl! Yippee!! May 20-25 - TRIP 1 July 29th Court Date Rescheduled - orphanage quarantine August 5, 2008 - New Court Date August 6 - Adoptions Approved August 14 - Depart JFK Trip 3 August 18 - Pick up Babies August 23 - Home Forever
