I'm so glad to hear the kids are well! I can't wait to see picutres. Hopefully you can go get them soon. I have my figers crossed for a quick return! Following your journey has been so exciting...can't wait until we are there too!

WWHHHOOO HHOOOOOO!!!!!

It's great to hear that everything went so wonderfully. Your kids sound incredible!

Many people think that the wait between trips is the hardest part of the process. I hope it goes very quickly for you. Don't worry about the Coordinator too much. Reminds me of my Coordinator for #1...I caught her in several small lies, and she was always taking credit for things like "I got you the best seats on the plane!" (when I had been the one who requested and confirmed the bulkhead seating). Once you are home with your kids, she'll be just a funny story to you...

Congratulations!!

Thanks guys!!

Cathvash ~ Already I'm getting a kick out of telling our coordinator stories so I'm sure you're right. I just dread seeing her again. Blah! Oh well... Like yours, our coordinator truly believes that she is the glue that holds it all together...too funny!

Still can't quite get back to my normal schedule yet, but I'm hoping to post part 2 of our story tomorrow...that's when I'll tell you about throwing up in the MOE's office. hee hee... Sorry, I had to give you a little taste of what our crazy story is going to be like.

your excitement has definately brought back great memories for my husband and I (home almost 11 months with our DS). keep your positive attitude! and definately laugh at the misfortunes as they come, for us, they were plentiful, but none of it mattered in the end!

You shouldn't believe this. Russian families have first priority up until the judge throws down the gavel. And its not like they have to beat you to court. All they have to do is point at a child and say they want to adopt or foster them and BOOM, its over. They don't have to be approved in any way.

There are a couple of heartbreaking stories on FRUA where the parents had flown back to Russia and the court was the NEXT DAY, and Russian families stepped in and took over the adoptions.

Now this is rare, but it does happen, especially because the financial incentives are so lucerative.

Hi Shark~Yes, I have since confirmed with our agency that our coordinator was "lying" to us. Our agency believes that perhaps she simply has good reason to believe it won't happen, but they did confirm my beliefs, which were exactly what you said - that a Russian family has first priority always. BLAH! It's certainly going to be a worrisome few months... How did meeting your little one go?

I am so glad everything we so well. I find it hard to believe that a 9 and 18 month old child would start instantly acting demanding if they got attention for 2 hours. I remember with my kids it took about a month home before they were little spoiled brats I hope you get your trip dates soon. It is so hard to wait once you hold them.

It sounds like your co-ordinator thinks she's irreplacable. Hmmm... Hang in there. Best wishes for a speedy return! (I'm sure, since you've turned them into such demanding children by visiting for two hours that they will do everything possible to make your return trip a speedy one.) HA!
