The 20-hour countdown...
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Only 20 hours til we leave! I am so excited I cannot even stand it!!!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!I just wanted to take a quick moment in the chaos of final packing, etc. to stop and say hello and thank you all SO very much for all of your support. I will be back to share our journey on either May 26 or 27 (depends on when we wake up  ).Have a fabulous week! Jessi xoxox

Adopting one boy and one girl from Krasnoyarsk May - October, 2007 - Researching adoption & interviewing agencies October 17 - Signed with Placing Agency...dossier paperchase begins! October 19 - Signed with Homestudy Agency October 22, 2007 - Filed I-600A November 26 - Picked up approved homestudy! December 28 - Apostilled Dossier & Homestudy arrive in Russia January 4, 2008 - Find out our dossier is being registered in Krasnoyarsk January 5-January 29 - Nitpicking of documents by Inspector in Krasnoyarsk; five rounds later, we are finally good-to-go January 16 - Received I-600A/I-797C approval! February 5 - Dossiers finally registered in Krasnoyarsk April 23 - Best day ever! We received a referral for our little boy. May 15 - Received our referral for our little girl! Yippee!!! May 20-25 - Traveling to Siberia to meet the little ones! July 29th Court Date Cancelled & Rescheduled due to orphanage quarantine New Court Date ~ August 5, 2008

don't forget a notebook to write everything down - all your observations, thoughts and feelings. even if it's a scribbled mess, you'll be so glad you took a few minutes each day to write stuff down. amazingly, if you don't, you WILL forget.

 Enjoy it!!! Russia is such a wonderful and beautiful experience. And don't forget to take a disposable camrea or two to leave between trips. We did that for DS and those pictures are beyond priceless!

Oh such de ja vu!!! Three years ago this weekend my husband and I were in Moscow on memorial day. We visited red square on a very HOT may day. Our paper work at the embassy was delayed and boy were there LOTS of unhappy folks when they were told they'd probably have to stay in Moscow one more day. We were disappointed but after all the struggles what is one more day?
We ultimately caught our homecoming flight with only 1/2 hour to spare! We arrived home to family and friends, signs at the airport, photos, and lots of tears of joy and relief at finally having our little one home after a two year journey. I know ours is story of trip #2 but you will look back on trip #1 with such fondness as well GOOD LUCK TO YOU and SAFE TRAVELS!
