Five Days to Go and Freaking Out!
Good morning
 Today is the BIG day!!! We receive our little girl's referral.  We are so unbelievably excited. I am wearing holes in our carpet pacing back and forth. My stomach is tumbling...I just cannot believe this is real. AHHH!!! In five days we leave the U.S. headed for the long journey to Siberia to meet our children. It will be about 38 hours in transit before we reach our hotel in Krasnoyarsk, and then another 6-7 via car from there, until we reach the orphange. Wow! This is going to be quite a journey... I promise to take lots of pictures of the countryside to share when we return. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

February 5 - Dossiers finally registered in Kras April 23 - Best day ever! Received referral for our little boy May 15 - Received our referral for our little girl! Yippee!! May 20-25 - TRIP 1 July 29th Court Date Rescheduled - orphanage quarantine August 5, 2008 - New Court Date August 6 - Adoptions Approved August 14 - Depart JFK Trip 3 August 18 - Pick up Babies August 23 - Home Forever

Congratulations! What an exciting day! I think it's neat that you knew when it was coming - kind of like a due date! I hope the referal is all you want and more and that your trip is wonderful!

I know you have much to do, but try to schedule enough rest because the travel will be grueling. I recommend some sleeping pills or Benadryl for the long plane ride over. Take rest and comfort where you can find it! Best wishes on your travels. Please post when you have news or questions! Whhooo Hooo!!

congratulations!
how amazing that you actually got the referral on the day you were told you would - that's a miracle in itself! having traveled to siberia, i can tell you, you are in for quite an experience. so glad you get to go in summer! the weather we experienced was much like here in michigan. could be rainy and damp and chilly one day, then steaming hot and humid the next. can't wait to hear about your trip!

Thank you all SO very much! We will be taking the trek
 to Siberia to meet our son regardless of what happens with this girl referral, but prayers regarding her potential mental disease would be greatly appreciated.Thank you again.

Congrats, we leave for Moscow on Saturday for our 2nd "first" trip of the year (interestingly enough, our first referral also had mental issues)
