Negative Behavior
I've been reading the recent posts about very diffult and impulsive behavior.
I have to say I can relate with our 4 year old. She has to be told MANY times NOT to do something and often just does it anyway-with a big smile on her face. She always is quick to say she is sorry-when in a time out-but continues to act out. My husband and I took her to Arizona last week for a vacation and she was asked to be a flower girl. I was VERY nervous about this because she DOES NOT sit still in church-loud, moves around too much, talks, throws toys...... Well-she was on her absolute best behavior and acted like a real angel-my husband and i were flabergasted!!! We kept joking-what happened to our little terror! We've been home for two days and today when we went to visit our neighbor she didn't walk to talk to them and folded her arms and told my neighbor to "shut up"! I was even more mortified when she kicked the neighbors tiny little poodle. I immediately apoligized and left. She screamed for 10 minutes non-stop and stayed in her time out until she could calm down. No suggestions about behavior-it is a struggle-maybe not every day, but many days..... ANYWAY-here are a couple pictures of our beauty & beast!

She is very cute in her wedding attire! And, I think we all probably have a little beast lurking around a corner!

She looks lovely as the flower girl. I hope things just get easy naturally for her and for you. If things get worse you can always ask for a reference to a pediatric therapist, but I would wait and see if the bad behavior continues and if you can do techniques at home to modify her behavior. Best of luck,
BTW, my kid smiles up at me too, sometimes even when I put her in time out. Amy KNJ

Very cute pictures!
I have to agree about all of us having a little beast in us. My DS rarely is the beast these days. Its usually little miss girlie who is showing beast like behavior. And with a smile! Then she tells me "Momma, I love you. Even when your angry with me."
