I just have to brag a little.....

Now that DD is well into her three's, working on behaviour has taken a lot of creativity and patience!
She's been going to gymnastics for over a year and in March moved up to the class where the parents don't go in. Since in that class, she has done surprisingly well, follows the coach's instructions, stays with the class...etc. I was quite shocked, in fact, and she has been behaving pretty well since moving to that class.

Last night, two little girls who were previously in Delaney's class (both about six months older than her) but haven't been since the Fall came back, we were happy to see them, but both girls were terrible in class last night! They had previously behaved pretty well in class and Delaney was the one running away, etc. I had been worried about how she'd behave in the new class.
These girls didn't phase Delaney! She was focused, and followed directions the entire time!

Afterwards, the coach came up to me and said she really loved having Delaney in class, that she always listens well, does the moves correctly, and is very well behaved and that she really apprciated that! I am still just so excited that the coach mentioned that to me, it made me feel really good and Delaney, too. "I was a very a good listener in my class today!" She was so proud... and so was I.......finally feeling like all my hard work is paying off!! Here she is showing off her certificate she got for moving up.

What about everyone else's kiddos? What have yours done recently that made you extra proud of them? (beyond that you are usually anyway! he he!)

Thanks for sharing on Delaney. You must be so proud. I dont have one specific thing I'm proud of my child for, but across the board I am proud of her. I wish I knew how to upload photos to this site. I may ask a friend to help me finally.

Yippeee for Delaney! It's so exciting when they cross a behavioral hurdle. It just goes to show that they can pay attention when they are interested, huh?
