Can you adopt when one parent has epilepsy?
I have a friend whose husband has had epilespy since childhood. It is managed with drug therapy and it does not affect his holding a job or providing for a family. Would this prevent them from adopting in Russia? It will in China.

That's a good question and one that I would pose to an adoption agency. I think they would need to be very upfront about all medical issues with their agency and see where the agency leads them.
Some regions are more leinent than others and a good agency that works in many regions would be their best bet. Good luck!

yeah, the agency was closed today because of President's Day. I did find an old post that someone indicated that they adopted with a drs note stating it was under control.

My friend's husband has it - they adopted in 04 and are going again - but they were urged to use the physician the agency recommended. Not sure how he handled it in the paperwork.....
