Monday Memories

Alright, time to spill it.
What was your favorite toy as a kid?
Favorite TV show?
Favorite Movie?
Favorite food?

I'll start. I loved my pogo stick, watched Mork and Mindy and loved the movie Grease and some chocolate candy called Ice cubes I have not seen for years.

I loved swings...I could swing for hours and create whole worlds to live in...that was a great gift for my mother.
My favorite show was the Facts of Life...but I remember preteding to be very into Good Times (is that what it was called?) because it was on while Mom was making dinner and I didn't want to have to help.
I can't really name a favorite movie. My parents were very strong in their religious beliefs and we never attended the movies. I do remember seeing ET...but I was older then.
My favorite (and really only food I ate) was grilled cheese. Only from my mom though...not at restaurants or anything!

LOVED my Easy Bake Oven
ADORED The Partridge Family
Watched Cinderella over and over again, but also liked watching Horror Movies, until my mom nixed it because I started having night mares!
We loved going to Mongolian BBQ night at the Officer's Club every Thursday!

Sleeping Beauty was re-released at the theatre when I was small. I fell head over heals for that movie. I also loved Labyrinth but that must have been later. I also knew every song from Grease.

My mother watched soap operas for 3 hours every after noon. I loved All My Kids and General Hospital. My best friend and I got a ride from school (which was a big deal, we took the bus) so we were home early once to see a big Luke and Laura show. I think it might have been their big wedding show.

I had a Donny and Marie doll set in 5th grade that I played Tom and Erica with (All My Kids) I drew a mustache on Donny and then Tom shaved off his mustache and I was soooo bummed!

I really can't remember a favorite food. My mom wasn't much of a cook!
