Adoption coincidence -FUN!!

There are so many coincidence with my DS that it could be fate. I will share some then other please share yours as well.

DS was born on my paternal Grandfather's Birthday.

DS was born on the 18th in Russia which would have been the 17th here. Strangely all the kids in my family were born on the 17th of different months.

Now you share! :-)

Our son was born on the day we began our home study!
He was premature (34 weeks) and if his birth mother had gone to term he would have been due on my birthday.

Hmm, there were many:

On 12/6/03 (12/7 in Russia) we attended our agency's seminar. On 12/7/04, we met our son for the first time.

We decided to go ahead and adopt from Russia on 2/18/04. We picked DS up from the baby home on 2/18/05.

Our registration packet arrived in the mail on 2/23/04. We landed back in the states with DS on 2/23/05.

We had our fingerprints done on 3/10/04 (3/11 in Russia). DS entered the baby home from the maternity hospital on 3/11.

Our home study was ready and delivered to INS on 4/28. That was the birthday ofof my favorite cousin. Being an only child, he was the closest thing I had to a baby brother. He was killed in 1991. DS has his eyes AND his hair color...HUH???

Joanna was referred to us on 7/11 July 11. My husband says that's a lucky number in craps.

Joanna's birthday is on Halloween. That is one of my two favorite holidays of the year. I actually remember the day she was born because I went dressed to work as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz(the day before we had a big Halloween party at my house). Halloween, the day she was born, was on a Monday in 2005.

On my oldest son's 7th birthday, I was in Russia, meeting my daughter for the first time. (I traveled blind and met three children that day and choose her)
Little did I know that on that very same day in Poland, my youngest son was being born. So now my oldest and youngest sons have the same birthday 7 years apart.

DS was abandoned on the day we applied to our agency and offically started the process.

DD was born 9 months after the death of our daughter.

GREAT THREAD! Ok so we went looking to adopt a girl about 9 yrs old. Was introduced to Summer who was only 2. Looking at her pix, I flipped it over and saw that her birthday was the exact same as my oldest son (10 years apart) I realized she was also born the same month & year as the baby (I had lost) was due.
wow.

I have another one - this was not even me but my friend. We both started researching Russia at the same time, she moved faster and had started her homestudy with agency X. We had breifly discussed Agency Y and for some reason dismissed them. My friend wanted a boy from (then)one trip Moscow.

One morning, I just googled this agency Y and called them to this day I don't know why. Really hit it off with the coordinator and told her about my friend. She said (chills down the spine right now) OMG< a video just came across my desk for a 14 mo boy from Moscow. I called my friend who was vacationing in NC, She was in the ocean with her daughter. I was like "tell her get out and call me"! She did. I said, call this girl NOW! She did and the rest is history, the little boy is her son. He is so perfect for their family not to mention he looks exactly like her two teenagers when they were babies!

With DD...she was born exactly nine months after I had (my predetermined) last ditch surgery in our very brief visit to infertility treatments. She was born when we moved to Florida and since our agency was local...that was huge.

With DS he was born on the date I lost one of my babies...a few years later but the same month and day.

John Russell was born on the day that we turned in the application fee to our agency. It was like he was made to order for us.
