My daughter Alivia was born the day of my first home study visit.

I received the referral the weekend of Mother's Day in 2005.

Her adoption was completed exactly 9 months from the day my dossier was assigned to the region.

She looks EXACTLY like my mother did as a child (in fact my father speculates that there may actually be a distant relationship. My mother's German grandfather served in Russia during the war...) People are always surprised when they find out Livi is adopted because she looks so much like the rest of us.

Sometimes you just have to admit it's a God thing...
