Hi Everyone,
I stumbled on this board a few weeks back and you all seem so great so I wanted to join in and introduce myself. My husband and I are currently waiting to recieve a referral in Russia for our first child together (Hubby has an amazing 14 year old son from a previous relationship). The three of us are anxiously our little one's arrival. We just found out today that our dossier was submitted to Rostov-on-Don in the Rostov Region of Russia. It is in the South West and right on the border of Ukraine. Has anyone here adopted from that region and if so can you share any experiences? Thanks, Lori

Sorry, we did not adopt from that region either. You may also want to join the Rostov Yahoo group. I'm in our regions Yahoo group and it was great when it came time to travel to get the inside scoop on the region.

Welcome! You will enjoy this forum, everyone is else and there is a lot of info! (my daughter is from the Kemerovo region, but the yahoo groups are good, too!)

Hi and Welcome! I think you'll find lots of great information here. Keep posting and asking anything you want to know. (we adopted from Kemerovo as well...so I can't help you with region specific info)

Well, we didn't make it outside of Moscow for either of our trips, so no help on regions! But, welcome to the group, I only joined last fall and have been so appreciative of how helpful and supportive everyone here is!!! Great place to vent and ask questions!

Congratulations and I wish you the best. If you need, I can ask around for a few folks that ive known who have been to Rostov. I, myself, dont have any knowledge of that area. Keep us posted.
