Russian Database in English-How
I looked for the thread but I can not find it. Can anyone advise me on how to get the link for the russian database in English. As remedial as possible please. Many thanks!

Language Tools
Google language tools will translate the entire page...and is usually pretty good. My blog has a good step-by-step of how to search...but you know the database has limited search options right now, don't you? It seems to be temporary... Kate

This got me curious. I'm cruising through our region right now. Wow, there are a lot of them on there... I've found 4 that met my criteria (and a couple that meet yours) already. I wish I had the courage to take on a much older one. There are just so many 8+...

I know I do have a place in my heart for the older ones. Maybe when I am older I will go back. Right now I want them close in age. Its a really sad plight. I may need you to help me look. I can not seem to figure it out. I also deleted your phone number so email me when you have time.

The view in English option only gives you an information page. It doesn't allow you to search in English, so a web translator is still the best option.

If you install google desktop - you can do what bcelli said and just right click and get the page translated...
otherwise yes - you have to translate one page at a time the old cut and paste way...

you don't have to cut and paste with the language tool i mentioned. you just type in the page address and go from there. it will stay in english as you search.

This is repetitive with what others have said......
But, once you have google added to your browser (internet explorer), when you are on the databank page you can right click your mouse and down near the bottom there is a 'page info' tab that has sub topics that show when you click it. There you will see 'translate page to english'. For me, when I do this on the databank before I search, I get an error. So, what I would do is open two browsers, translate the page so you can read it, then on the russian page select your criteria you are interested in and do the search in Russian before you hit the translate button....... Just trying to give you more ideas to get this to work for you.....I had no idea that the right click thing existed and was going back and forth to babel fish but for me it kept giving errors and I had to just do a couple of words at a time......so pretty slow process (could have been my bad luck!)...... Hope you can find what you are looking for!
