I am a Biro family. Though when I was there, we stayed with host families, and had 3 meals cooked for us every day. It was wonderful.

Now I hear everyone stays at the one and only hotel. I hear there is a restaurant at the hotel. I never ate there but my friends did when they adopted in 2000.

When I was there in 2004, they recommended one restaurant for us to eat in Fasan - the Pheasant. We never went because frankly it was just too cold out and we had meals already made for us. But the other family who was there at the same time, ate there without incident.

Biro's economy has been rapidly growing. The best bet is to ask the translator - who will be with you a good portion of the day - and who are all very kind - where to go. They may have the low down on where's safe to eat/not.

Biro is a wonderful little city, the people who assisted us were so kind. I really felt at home while there.
