We are home!
We arrived home last Friday, but it has been a whirlwind since then. Court went great, 10 days was waived and we all survived the flight home. Cole turned 35 months old on our court date. I don't think we could ask for things to go much better than they are. Far from perfect, but ooooh so much better than it could be! He smiles a lot, laughs a lot, already gives kisses, high 5s and "dap" (you have to have a teenager to understand that one!), loves to swim (naked only) and he loves to play with his big brother and sister. He hates to sleep, hates to have play interrupted and can be downright mean very easily. But, I'll take those problems over many others that we could be having.
For those who have been there, done that, you will know what I mean when I say I couldn't have done this without the people in this community. We were so much better prepared than others that we met that didn't have an online support system. So, thank you thank you, thank you. Here are some pictures of Cole Timothy. The overall picture is the referral picture we received in October, 2006. The others are from trip two and our first morning home with the kids. Notice the older kids have on Welcome Home Cole t shirts. We arrived at the airport to about 25 family members in these shirts. They also got Cole one that says "I'm Cole, and I'm home"!

Robin He has one, she has two, now adopting one together. 2005: 2/05 - 7/05- Research process/agencies 7/25-Submitted app to agency & I-600A to USCIS. 8/26 & 9/8-Homestudy interviews and visit to our home 10/12-Homestudy approved-mailed to USCIS 11/8-Fingerprint appts; dossier sent for apostilling 11/21-Dossier sent to Russia for translation 2006: 1/12 - Rcvd 171-H - sent to Russia for transl. 3/6 - Officially Registered in Smolensk!!! 5/17 - Waiting on reaccreditation (NGO rcvd) 10/13/06 - Accepted Referral of 24 mo old boy  2007: Feb - redid entire dossier and fingerprints.... May 31 - June 8 TRIP 1!!! June 28th - received new 171-H Aug 1 - court Aug 9 - home forever with Cole!

Oh my gosh what a precious little fella! Congrats!!! I am soo glad you finally have him home!!! I totally agree, HOW DO people do it without these forums?? I have no idea, but I too am so thankful to have such a wonderful online support system!
