Successful court!
Hi everyone...we had our court hearing yesterday and were pronounced the parents of our little Nathan! Of course it's not official until after the 10 day waiting period is over, but we are happy to make it through court. Here in Vladivostok we have run into 7-8 other adoptive families at our hotel, so things are definitely moving! Will post pictures next week.

Yea Of The Day!
Oh, I have been waiting for this one!!! (Miss Daisy and her husband were there on trip one when I was there for trip 2.)
I am SO glad court went well!! It sounds like, as you expected, you did not get custody during the wait. No matter. The days will soon pass, and it sounds like you have good company. In our last days there, I noticed a couple of restaurants near the VMI. The one "up" the hill from the exit has signage in English and looks nice, although who knows...? I hope this quiet time together gives you some time to recuperate and let go of some of the stress. It sounds like things in Vlad are moving right along. Nathan is a very lucky boy, and I hope you have a pleasant time and a safe return!

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear that things are moving along! Vlad is where we would have travelled to if we wouldn't have changed to Kazakhstan, so I am always watching how things are going in that region. Enjoy your stay in country, again congratulations!!

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007
