There is a potty boot camp not far from us in the Chicago western suburbs. My nephew went there at 3 and half after my brother and SIL exhausted all other efforts. They raved about it.
It included the child being in underwear all afternoon for 3 days and having to help clean up after themselves when accidents occurred.
We did not do this, but I kept the card just in case!

We did our own little boot camp. We just went cold turkey on 2 days I knew we could be around the house enough to clean up easily. Now that it is summer it was easier - not so many clothes to take off. Girlie did really well and was pretty much trained in 2 days. I say pretty much because it was 3 weeks ago now and we had a poopy accident yesterday (she was having a great ole time and didn't want to stop playing) and she has pee-ed her car seat 3 times now when she falls asleep in the car. Aside from that we've been good for 3 weeks. Pull ups only at night for bedtime.

I put some pull ups in the car for times when I know she might fall asleep because we have a longer drive. Just in case. I am still carrying an extra set of clothes and wipes with just in case!

She was 3 in June and we tried this at 20 months with no success, at 30 months with no success. I think in the end they will tell you when they are ready.
