Thank you for posting the link. I really enjoyed reading this article. I keep coming back to this topic quite a bit. Everyone can choose their own path that will hopefully lead to parenting a child. But I truly wished that more people would choose adoption over paying IVF doctors huge sums of money. To this day, I never regretted ending our IVF journey after one "successul" attempt (but resulting in stillbirth). I wish the author of this article good luck on becoming a mother very soon.

Becky,
I noticed you recently adopted in Moscow Region. This is the one I am interested in adopting from again. Could you tell me some specifics about it. Travel, 10 day, judges, medical, blind referral etc.... Thanks.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

I love the statement...'I wanted to be a mom more than I wanted to give birth.' That is exactly the way we felt. We jumped off the infertility train very early...after losing 3 pregnancies...one in the 2nd trimester I just couldn't continue.
Sadly, as I am seeing in a relative right now, some women want to get pregnant more than want be a mother. UGH! (The 2 for 1 article hits home on that one.) Thanks for posting, I want to go back and read all the related articles.
