Court tomorrow
Hi forum friends,
I am still in Kazakhstan and feel terrible that over the last eight weeks I have not been able to keep in touch and therefore I truly have no idea what is going on in the lives and adoptions of so many who were a part of my daily life for over two years. Once home and part of the regular internet world, I will make the time to catch up on what has been happening over the last two months, well it'll be three by the time I get home. Finally our paperwork issues have been resolved and we have court tomorrow. Can't wait to share more of our details. I hope in the last two months, families have traveled, children have come home and hope for those waiting has continued. Thinking of you all from the other side of the world.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

Lovestruck, its so good to hear from you!! I took you off the travellers list just a few days ago as I was convinced you must be home by now and look at you, your still in Kaz battling it out!! I'm so sorry I took you off the list. I'm going to put you back on and in the meantime good thoughts and prayers for court tomorrow.

So glad to hear from you hope court is short and sweet and you get custody of your baby soon.
Would love to hear details of Kaz adoption process, the country, your experience etc.
