With our girls adoption we requested either sex, single or sibling, under 2. What we got was twin girls, one red head, one blone, one with blue eyes, one with green, 19mo old at referral, both beautiful

With our second adoption we were more specific. We said we only wanted a boy, under 3. What we got was a 6 mo old boy (back when could get 6month old babies), with the most beautiful brown eyes and bald head. I would be lying if I said I was not a little concerned that with his brown eye he would not get constant questions about where those eye came from since I have green eyes and my husband has blue. In all the time he has been home only one person has ever asked. Mostly we just get the comment on how much he looks like my husband, which he does, A LOT.

We only requested a girl, under 30 months (to keep the family birth order intact). ANd she was 20 months at the time of referral.
But K has dark brown almond shaped eyes - and light hair. DH and I have blue/green eyes. SHe does look like she has some "asian" but does not.

The other family we traveled with requested the youngest girl possible, got a 3 yo, with blonde hair and blue eyes. They had brown hair and eyes - and the mom actually had some family from the region my DD was from - and her eye shape was JUST LIKE my DD. They really looked alike. The whole time we were there I wondered if there had been some sort of mixup - just based on looks (not in my heart).
