We loved St. Pete in 2006. Plenty of flights - plenty to see and do. Our 10 days was waived, which I know isn't common anymore. Children's Home #6 was (mostly) clean and had toys.

hmmm... i never replied to this but thot i had.

amur region (siberia) is very, very, very, very hard. in fact, i don't think they are agreeing to work with americans anymore. people from ireland and spain are completing their adoptions there tho.

the anti-american sentiment there stems from the death of viktor matthey a few years ago. our sasha who we spent two years trying to adopt, came from viktor's orphanage.

we adopted our two daughter in 2007 from samara region. it was six months, start to finish. very smooth. they do NOT waive the ten days and do NOT let you stay in region to wait, however.

Ditto to what ktates said. We adopted from St. Pete in 2005 (and met ktates on trip1!!!). I know of no less than 5 other St. Pete kiddos from 3 or 4 homes. All that I know of are doing very well. My son was at or past target when he came home at 13 months. For any of you Nascar enthusiasts out there, look under my avatar at the statement... The race hasn't started yet, but we've started around turn 4 and they're giving the 1 to go!!! We hope to return to St. Pete later this year. When the green flag drops, I intend to race this one as fast as I can. Russia on the other hand... LOL
